Kate Fosk is an animated film maker, who usually works using machinima in partnership with ex Hollywood producer Michael R Joyce.
Her love of science fiction inspired an early career move into engineering, followed by retraining as a profesional counsellor, once her children had grown.
She co produces a well respected film festival, The Machinima Expo, together with ex Hollywood actor turned bookshop owner Ricky Grove and a large team of volunteers.
She is married and lives on the borders of a national park in the North East of England.
